About
The Helensburgh Cricket Club commenced and took part in the 1984-85 Cricket season. Brought together by locals Mick Duffy and Ron Campbell with sponsorship from the Centennial Hotel. Other’s who helped included Jeff Bragg, Jim Chaplin, Richard Paine and Bob Proudfoot.
In our first season, we fielded teams in the Seniors - a 4th and 5th Grade Team, and in the Juniors an Under 10’s and 12’s side. In only it’s first season the 4th Grade side made it through to the Semi’s.
Today we have grown and for the 2023/24 season we will field sides in both 2nd and 3rd Grade for the Seniors. And for the Junior's we'll have an Under 15's team, Two Under 13's sides. Also a team in the Under 11A's and B's division along with our Under 10's.
And on a Saturday morning for the little one's we have Cricket Blast which runs for no more than 90 minutes.
